I use candied pecans on my Kale Salad that I make ALLLLLL the time. It is delicious and I promise to share it with you. For now, enjoy this recipe and have fun putting pecans on everything!
2 cups pecans (whole or pieces-does not matter)
1/2 cup organic brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup local honey
a tsp of cinnamon
pinch of salt
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat for about 15 minutes or until the mixture is gooey and sticky and it seems that the pecans are coated evenly.
Allow them to cool on a parchment lined backing sheet for a few hours. Store in an airtight container for a few weeks (mine never last that long.)
